On Sunday 8 members of Tyne Valley MTB Cycling and a guest rode the first day of the Reivers Cycle Route by MTB between Tynemouth and Bellingham which the club would like to revitalise.

We started with clear blue skies and sunshine but it was in much chillier and windy weather that we finished. The many waggonways between Backworth and Darras Hall are interesting in a waggonway sort of way and whilst the route isn’t difficult, it continually changes and is increasingly scenic as you head west.

There are many more pics than usual to show the great variety of tracks, trails and minor roads the route uses over 53 miles.
